Gift Septic Service, LLC

History of Gift Septic Service

In 1960 Gift Construction was founded by Dick Gift.  While working in the construction industry, Dick soon realized that his true love was working with heavy machinery, dump trucks, and soils.  This opened the doors to the birth of Gift Septic Service in 1968. Dick continued to grow Gift Septic Service for several years by specializing in septic repair and septic pumping.

In 1970 Dick's son Art, who was only 10 years old at the time, began assisting his father in the summer months every chance he had.  Over the next several years, Art worked with his father daily gaining knowledge not only in regard to the septic business, but most importantly, knowledge in how to treat customers.

Art graduated in 1980 and immediately became a business partner with his father by purchasing the septic pumping part of Gift Septic Service.  In 1985 Art bought the rest of the company and began the next generation of Gift Septic Service.

Dick continued working with Art, in an advisory position, and made daily visits to job sites until his passing in 2005.  He is truly missed by all who knew him.

Although Gift Septic Service has grown and expanded it's scope of work over the years, it has never lost sight of the true driving force behind the company, which is integrity, honesty, professionalism, and a positive attitude.  Art attributes the
company's growth to hiring and retaining exceptional employees, and by always treating customers as though they are part of the family.  To this day, Gift Septic Service still services many of their original customers from 40 years ago.

Our Team:

  Jari Gift

Jari became Mrs. Art Gift in 1985 and has been working right along side Art since day one. She plays a major role in the company by providing the office and administrative support needed to run the day-to-day activities of Gift Septic Service. However, Jari is definitely not afraid to get her hands dirty on a job site. In fact, she made her debut on a sewer project in a small town where she backfilled and graded out over 200 sewer line installations with a skid loader. Without Jari's love and support for Art and the company over the past 30 years, Gift Septic Service would not be where it is today.

Mike has been a part of Gift Septic Service for the past 27 years.  He started out as a laborer with Gift Septic Service and is now our top driver.  Although Mike is most often found behind the wheel of a dump truck, it is not uncommon to see him out on a job site with a shovel in his hand.  Mike has a remarkable reputation for always being on time and having the attitude of a true team player. He is also a loving husband to his wife, Patti, and father of two children, Shelby and Collin.

Jim is our senior operator and is in his 22nd year with Gift Septic Service. He has been a consistent and solid part of the team throughout those years. He runs each job as if it were his own house and won't cut a corner at any cost.  Jim enjoys gardening in his time off; and also riding his motorcycle with his wife, Lisa.

Russ is completing his 5th year with Gift Septic Service.  Standing over 6 feet tall, no job is too big or small for him to tackle.  Russ wears many hats with the company and most recently has been managing more, laying out jobs, and put in charge of all ordering. The first thing you will notice about Russ is his professionalism and friendly demeanor.  Russ and his wife, Katie, have two kids and enjoy spending quality family time together on the weekends.

Brandon started with us in 2012 as a laborer. His work ethic and good attitude is a breath of fresh air. We are so blessed to have him with us. He is our main skid loader operator and he 'final grades' our yards and basements. He and MacKenzee are expecting their first child soon and will be great parents.

In Spring of 2012 we welcomed Dan to our team as a full time driver.  Dan has a warm and inviting attitude, and seems as though he has never met a stranger by making friends with everyone he encounters. We have never seen Dan upset or in a down mood. He is our Big Teddy Bear. Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife Fran, his kids,  grandkids, and hunting.

Troy has been with us for two years. He operates one of our dump trucks along with doing our mechanical work. His past experience as owning his own truck made him a perfect fit for us as someone who takes pride in his work and equipment. Troy has two children and thoroughly enjoys being a dad.

Austin is our newest laborer in his first year. He immediately made it apparent to us that he wasn't afraid of hard work and long hours. There is never a doubt who will be the first one to the shop ready to work every morning. Austin is excited about turning a new page in life and becoming a Dad.
