OUR TEAM

OUR HISTORY

In 1960 "Gift Construction" was founded by Dick Gift.  While working in the construction industry, Dick soon realized that his true love was working with heavy machinery, dump trucks, and soils.  This opened the doors to the birth of Gift Septic Service in 1968. Dick continued to grow Gift Septic Service for several years by specializing in septic repair and septic pumping.

In 1970 Dick's son Art, who was only 10 years old at the time, began assisting his father in the summer months every chance he had.  Over the next several years, Art worked with his father daily gaining knowledge not only in regard to the septic business, but most importantly, knowledge in how to treat customers.

Art graduated in 1980 and immediately became a business partner with his father by purchasing the septic pumping part of Gift Septic Service.  In 1985 Art bought the rest of the company and began the next generation of Gift Septic Service.

Dick continued working with Art, in an advisory position, and made daily visits to job sites until his passing in 2005.  He is truly missed by all who knew him.

Although Gift Septic Service has grown and expanded its scope of work over the years, it has never lost sight of the true driving force behind the company, which is integrity, honesty, professionalism, and a positive attitude.  Art attributes the company's growth to hiring and retaining exceptional employees, and by always treating customers as though they are part of the family.  To this day, Gift Septic Service still services many of their original customers from 40 years ago.
